Andia Ravariere Takes the Helm at Nevis Tourism Authority
Charlestown, Nevis – In a pivotal move for the future of Nevis tourism, the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) has appointed Andia Ravariere as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2025. With over a decade of experience in sustainable tourism and destination marketing, Ravariere is poised to enhance Nevis's position in the competitive tourism landscape.
Champion of Sustainable Tourism
Andia Ravariere is no stranger to the challenges and opportunities within Caribbean tourism. Her recent role as the Destination Marketing Manager for Discover Dominica Authority saw her successfully increase visitor arrivals and expand into niche markets. Ravariere’s commitment to sustainable and community-driven tourism was exemplified when she founded the Colihaut Community Tourism Development group in Dominica in 2013, which empowered local women entrepreneurs and fostered economic growth.
A Vision for Nevis
Ravariere’s vision for Nevis is clear: to redefine luxury travel through a lens of nature, culture, and sustainability. She aims to position Nevis as a standout destination within the Caribbean by promoting its unique offerings rather than competing with neighboring islands. She believes collaboration among tourism stakeholders is essential for building a resilient tourism future.
Support from Local Leadership
The reaction from Nevis's leadership has been overwhelmingly positive. Premier Mark Brantley expressed confidence in Ravariere’s abilities to take Nevis into a promising new chapter. According to Pamela Martin, Chairperson of the NTA Board, Ravariere's experience and community-centric approach will help Nevis build strong partnerships that can enhance its visibility and viability.
This appointment signifies a strategic commitment by the NTA to not only recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic but also to advance their sustainable tourism agenda. As Ravariere embarks on this new journey, her leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of Nevis as a prime example of how tourism can benefit local communities while providing unforgettable experiences for travelers.
